A community-based volunteer is a person based in any community. He/ she supports JCU and the activities for and in the community actively. This person is not motivated by money, is knowledgeable, a good communicator and speaks the community’s language. He/ she lives up to JCUs values, is willing to learn and to present legal topics to his/her community members.
The community-based volunteer is identified by the Centre Manager of JCU. He/she will receive a training in the most prevalent legal issues faced by the community and in basic counselling.
