Advocacy (Campaigns)

Advocacy means to undertake efforts to change policy and practice at the local, national or international level; to change the situation for groups of individuals who share similar problems. It is a long-term approach to problem solving requiring sustained effort.

JCU undertakes evidence-based advocacy for reform of laws, policies and practices that facilitate access to justice for the poor and indigent. JCU does this through working with strategic partners (both Government and Civil Society Organisations) in order to influence policy makers to reform laws, policies and practices.
