Access to Justice

Updated June 23, 2021

Access to Justice

Access to justice is the ability of people to seek and obtain a remedy through formal or informal institutions of justice, in conformity with human rights standards.
The objective for the creation of Justice Centres Uganda is to enhance, deepen, and widen access of the poor, the marginalised and vulnerable in Uganda to justice, through provision of legal aid.
JCU ensures that the indigent and marginalized access justice through educating them on their rights and helping them resolve their disputes through mediation and court representation thereby enabling them access remedies to their legal problems.
