Henry Ssentongo

Henry Ssentongo is the Psychosocial Counsellor at Lira Centre, supporting clients through the emotional weight that so often accompanies a legal problem. He offers one-on-one and family counselling and runs the centre’s referral pathways for survivors of violence in Apac, Pader and Lira.

He trained in law at Uganda Christian University and completed the bar course at the Law Development Centre. He came to JCU from community development work, where he coordinated village-level sensitisation on land rights and child protection.

He also supports the centre’s outreach circuits, taking legal aid services to sub-counties far from the district headquarters.
