Agnes Namukasa

Agnes Namukasa is the Senior Legal Officer at Mmengo Centre, carrying the centre’s more complex litigation and supervising junior officers. She represents indigent clients in the courts serving Kampala, Mpigi and Wakiso and leads on strategic cases with wider community impact.

She trained in law at Uganda Christian University and completed the bar course at the Law Development Centre. She previously served with a human rights organisation in the region, supporting survivors of gender-based violence through the justice system.

She is passionate about making the law understandable — her community sessions are known for turning complex procedure into plain language.
