Kevin Apio

Kevin Apio is the Senior Legal Officer at Mbale Centre, carrying the centre’s more complex litigation and supervising junior officers. He represents indigent clients in the courts serving Budaka, Mbale and Sironko and leads on strategic cases with wider community impact.

He studied Community Psychology at Kyambogo University with further training in trauma-informed counselling. He previously served with a human rights organisation in the region, supporting survivors of gender-based violence through the justice system.

He is passionate about making the law understandable — his community sessions are known for turning complex procedure into plain language.
