A total of 47 participants were taught about Gender Based Violence, types of marriages, testate succession, maintenance and custody.\nThe team gave out IEC material on related topics and offered basic legal advice to participants as well as answering their queries that were related to maintenance & custody, parental responsibilities and cohabitation.\nJCU partnered with UN Women under the project “Legal Aid and Women’s Access to Justice” implemented in the Districts of Kampala, Tororo, Bundibugyo and Kasese. The goal of the project is to ensure that women and girls access justice through access to information and advocacy for their rights.
